    Exquisite antique cloisonné enamel snuffbox, depicting two stylized fish facing each other, standing on a base of gilded waves. This piece is a beautiful example of Chinese cloisonné art, with meticulous work in the colored enamels, in shades of black, sky blue, turquoise, and gold.

    This snuffbox most likely dates from the 19th century. The symbolic fish motif evokes prosperity, abundance, and good fortune in traditional Chinese culture.

    The stopper is topped with a small matching lid and retains its original spoon, restored by us (see photos). The base is marked with a raised gold Chinese seal.
