An old and rare Chinese covered porcelain pot, entirely covered with lacquered braided bamboo, dating from the 20th century.
This Chinese pot could be used as a tea caddy, ginger pot, or storage container.

It has an ovoid shape with a swollen belly, resting on a circular base, with a removable lid topped with a spherical gripping knob.
Its cream-white glazed porcelain body is covered with remarkable basketry work in thin strips of bamboo, dyed and lacquered in a warm reddish-brown color.
The geometric relief decoration is composed of wide, interwoven bamboo strips, forming regular patterns of diamonds and petals. The braiding alternates with thin horizontal bands, highlighting the quality of the craftsmanship.
The lid features a rosette design of woven bamboo, with a small dark brown central button.

This piece is characteristic of traditional Chinese craftsmanship, combining porcelain with the finesse of bamboo work.
Under its base, it retains a label bearing the inscription "中国制造 – Made in China", attesting to its Chinese origin.
