DetailsRare and majestic antique polychrome ceramic vase, of Chinese origin.
This exceptional baluster-shaped piece is a superb example of oriental craftsmanship. It is adorned with a sumptuous decoration depicting a lyrebird among blooming peonies, a symbol of harmony and beauty in Chinese culture. The dominant colors are blue, powder pink, and soft green, applied against a white background.
Two handles in the form of blue Foo dogs adorn the shoulders of the vase, typical of protective Asian iconography. The neck and base are highlighted with geometric and floral friezes, which elegantly frame the central scene.
