DetailsAntique Obernai pie dish or serving dish from the Sarreguemines factory.
It is made of glazed ceramic and features a polychrome Alsatian decoration, typical of the famous Obernai model. The central scene depicts a young woman in traditional Alsatian costume in a village, surrounded by half-timbered houses, trees, flowers and a rural landscape.
The edge of the dish is slightly scalloped and decorated with floral garlands, small blue and red berries, adding a lot of charm to the whole.
The dish is marked underneath:
"France Sarreguemines Obernai – guaranteed decoration that will not fade and is dishwasher safe"
It is in good overall condition, with slight signs of wear normal for an antique item. A beautiful decorative or serving piece, ideal for a French earthenware collection, a country kitchen, an Alsatian table setting, or a chic vintage interior.
