Superb antique decorative dish in Corviniello, made by the J.P. Kayser Sohn company in Krefeld, Germany.

This piece is marked on the front "JP KAYSER SOHN CREFELD" and on the reverse "CORVINIELLO PATENT 76", making it a beautiful collector's item for lovers of antique decorative metal, Orientalist art and late 19th century German creations.

The dish features a rich central decoration with a lion's head in a medallion, surrounded by foliage, stylized flowers, scrolls, and plant motifs. The base is made of gilded copper, with beautiful inlays of mother-of-pearl and scales, offering highly decorative iridescent reflections depending on the light.
The outer border is finely decorated with scrolls and foliate motifs in an orientalist/neo-Moorish style, with an Art Nouveau influence through the fluidity of the plant lines.
