DetailsAntique small baluster vase in tin or spelter, with romantic decoration of putti playing in a tree, surrounded by birds and foliage.
The vase has an elegant baluster shape, with a rounded body, a flared neck and a beautiful antique patina with shades of bronze, copper and aged metal.
The decoration is done in bas-relief on the belly, with cherubs, branches, birds and plant motifs.
The upper part is surmounted by a putto in high relief, seated near the neck, with his arm raised.
The whole is in the Art Nouveau style, with a naturalistic, poetic and dynamic decor, typical of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The vase probably dates from the late 19th or early 20th century.
It is in good overall condition for its age.
Note: the putto's arm in high relief has been reattached, and a dent is visible on the belly.
There are signs of use, minor wear and tear, oxidation and marks of age, visible in the photos.
Beautiful antique decorative object, ideal for a display case, an Art Nouveau collection, a romantic decoration or a cabinet of curiosities.
