The bird, with wings outstretched, is perched on a branch adorned with green leaves and glossy red cherries, in a highly expressive style. The shades of blue, grey, and russet are particularly well rendered, highlighting the typical plumage of the blue jay.
Two inscriptions appear under the base: the number "2" and the number "132" (see photos).
